Interim Credit Manager required for an ongoing contract position in Melbourne's north. Immediate start and opportunity to manage a team of 6.

**The Company**

The organisation are expanding rapidly and can offer a very real opportunity for incoming employees to grow and develop within the company. Offices are located towards Melbourne's northern suburbs, but you will have the opportunity to work from home part of the week. Recent acquisitions have fuelled the growth for this business, and they are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Credit Manager to take on this challenging opportunity.

**The Role**

This is a quick start, ongoing contract position which we expect to last anything from 3 to 9 months. It will suit a strong Accounts Receivable or Credit team Leader or Manager who can start quickly and is happy working on a contract basis.

Reporting to the CFO, this role will be varied and challenging with a combination of people management and hands on accounting.

Typical duties will involve:

- Managing a team of 6 Credit and Receivable Officers
- Delegation of work and setting KPI's. Providing guidance when required
- Helping the team to improve processes and procedures
- Managing complex customer accounts and resolving disputes
- Supporting with the implementation of a new billing system
- Working to support with the collection of arrears from a large number of accounts
- Working closely with the CFO and other business units to gather information and initiate change
- Work with large corporate customers to set credit limits and agree payment plans
- Conduct regular check ins and training sessions with team members

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Credit Management and Accounts Receivable with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Must have team leadership experience (5 + staff ideally)
- In depth knowledge of credit control and accounts receivable principles
- Comfortable working in Melbourne's northern suburbs
- Experience working in accounts for a mid-large organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong excel skills
