About the role

What you need to know:
The purpose of this role is to handle Financial Lines ‘Major Loss’ claims that have the highest level of complexity and have a moderate to higher monetary exposure to the company.
- Managing Major Loss claims handling enquiry, coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, where appropriate.
- Makes timely and accurate potential exposure recommendations
- Broader internal / external stakeholder communication where required, as Financial Lines technical claims expert and thought leader
- Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimising indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense
- Effective communication of key Major Loss claims, and Financial Lines claims portfolio messages to internal stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
- Ability to deliver technical training to claims handlers/ teams
- Strong specialist knowledge in Major Loss Financial Lines technical claims topics
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and ADR skills
