Established in the UK in 1992, this global business manufactures identification tags for livestock. With sites in the UK, Australia, and America, this is an opportunity to join a family-owned business with existing government contracts and a nationwide market that is set to grow over the coming years.
Reporting to Senior Management in the UK, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales team spread across Australia and New Zealand.
**Primary objectives include**:
- In conjunction with the head of marketing, revise the annual budgeted marketing plan.
- Business development: build contact lists and maintain relationships with rural retailers.
- Train new sales representatives.
- Attend field days, trade shows and industry events as a representative.
- Customer on-site visits: collect and facilitate feedback to improve products and services.
- Submit monthly sales reports to senior managers.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the trade press.
**What you will need to succeed**:
- At least five years of experience in the livestock industry, with knowledge of sheep and cattle.
- An understanding of RFID technology would be seen as advantageous.
- Proven sales experience.
- Flexible approach with the ability to respond to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
