Your role is to provide a high level of claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation. **Team Leadership**
- Drives high performance by aligning individuals’ goals to Unit and Company objectives;
- Builds unit capabilities through coaching, mentoring and training colleagues;
- Supports effective team communication through regular meetings;
- Coordinates work distribution amongst team members and delegates effectively;
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency improvements within Unit and coordinates implementation of initiatives.
**Account Management**
- In conjunction with the Claims Manager, drives the contract negotiation process for existing and new clients, agreeing service standards and documenting via the client service agreement;
- Manages the client relationship, identifies expectation, resolves servicing issues, is an escalation point for difficulties;
- Prepares routine and ad hoc reports;
- Presents quarterly and/or annual reviews.
- Participate in peer review/ audit process.
- Participate in projects related to continuous improvement and efficiency of the Claims Team
**Claims Advisory**
- Drives the settlement negotiation process and negotiates on behalf of client;
- Acts as advocate for the client and determines commercial/technical responses to insurer’s denials of liability;
- Manages external providers (inc legal panel) on behalf of client.
**What you need to have**:
**_ Professional Accreditation/Membership_**
- Tier 1;
- Senior Associate member of ANZIIF.
**_ Educational Requirements_**
- Diploma Financial Services or Bachelor’s degree;
- Studying towards Graduate Diploma Financial Services;
- Undertake Company-directed compliance training.
