
Business Intelligence Manager

**How will I help?**
This role is responsible for providing data analysis and business insight that assists in delivering transformation today whilst firmly focused on growth opportunities for tomorrow. Business Intelligence and Insights is a critical contributor to the success of all transformation across Westpac Group and a key component of portfolio reporting requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible to create data visualization solutions to improve business processes. This role will include tasks such as generating dashboard reports and creating business intelligence reports and visualizations. Join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with the GTO team to understand information needs and assess current data analysis and reporting capabilities to understand future business requirements
- Develop a strategy for data analysis and reporting which takes into account the management of multiple data sources at varying levels of maturity
- Work with all relevant source data systems to understand business practices and help to map source data into a standardised data warehousing structure to meet project requirements and audit activity
- Translate and visualise data and reporting into meaningful insights, trends, and advice for the business
- Be responsible for ensuring instructional documents and user documents are updated to reflect new system or reporting modifications.
- Provide business and commercial insights to senior business leaders with recommendations on market, business performance and operational activities to inform decision-making
- Provide support in the interpretation of trends, problem areas and opportunities
- Provides support in developing portfolio level reporting and board updates

**What do I need?**
- Previous experience in a data and analytics or data science role, and considerable experience translating trends into meaningful business insights and advice
- Degree Qualification in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar
- Extensive development experience in data visualisation tools, including Tableau and PowerBI
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate staff in a high pressure, yet exciting work environment, able to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong cross functional and stakeholder management skills.
