for people with a disability in Australia. We act as our client’s primary NDIS Service Provider, helping
them activate and connect to the right services so they can achieve their identified goals. By helping
Participants navigate the NDIS system and increase their social and economic participation, we support
them to reach their full potential and live as independently as possible.

**We provide independent NDIS navigation services These include**:

- Support Coordination
- Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
- Plan Management

By playing an NDIS navigation and administration role, we are supporting our clients with having their
voice heard in matters that affect them, understand their plans, and have informed decision-making to
enable choice and control Avenues Australia is currently looking for a proactive Plan Management Associate / Bookkeeper to join
our small team and to provide financial administration services to NDIS Participants. On-going job
opportunities may be offered at the end of the initial 12-month contract, based on performance and
administration; as well as an interest in working in the disability sector.

**Responsibilities**:
The Plan Management Associate is responsible for the following:
Plan Management
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and financial administration.
- Support clients and carers to have basic understanding their NDIS plan and their individualised

budget.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the NDIS Price Guide.
- Pay NDIS service providers on behalf of the client.
- Be a primary point of contact for any billing and invoicing concerns.
- Conduct accounts payable.
- Support NDIS Participants to increase their financial and plan management skills.
- Facilitate increased choice of service providers for the client.
- Oversee NDIS plan budget reports to allow clients to have oversight of their budget spend.
- Provide outstanding written and verbal communication to clients.
- An ability to manage many clients through effective time management.
- An eye for detail.

Operational
- Conduct payroll administration
- Assist account in EOFY financial administration
- Prepare quarterly BAS
- Conduct account receivable
- Conduct reconciliations

Finance and Performance
- Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond to client queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Professional Development
- Participate in fortnightly supervision with the Line Manager.
- Undertake annual performance appraisals with the Line Manager and develop and implement

your professional development plans.
- Actively take part in training and skill-building opportunities. Your Key Competencies

**Industry**: Broad industry knowledge on the NDIS and disability sector including a basic understanding of
contemporary practices. (preferred)

**Technical**: Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting. (Essential)

**Interpersonal**: Excellent person-centred communication skills and ability to build rapport with a diverse
range of people. (Essential)

**IT Systems**: The ability to understand and learn IT systems quickly to support the documentation and
protection of essential and sensitive client information. (Essential)

Qualifications - A minimum of Certificate IV Accounting and Bookkeeping or higher (Essential)
- Proficiency in using accounting software (Essential)
- Knowledge and/or interest in the disability sector (preferred)
