**Assistant Department Manager - Discount Grocery**

We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Department Manager to support daily operations in our busy Bayswater store. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone with retail or grocery experience who’s ready to take on more responsibility, lead by example, and ensure the store runs smoothly day-to-day.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations
- Leading and mentoring team members on the shop floor
- Overseeing stock control, merchandising, and store presentation
- Serving customers and resolving issues to ensure great service
- Ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth store operations

**What we’re looking for**
- Previous retail, grocery, or supermarket experience (leadership experience highly regarded)
- Confident communicator who can guide and motivate a team
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to take initiative
- Physically capable of stock handling when required
- Flexible with availability, including weekends or evenings
