The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Disbursements Officer to join the finance team based in Leichhardt (Hybrid). The position involves providing accurate and timely payment services to all ForHealth Health Care Professionals (HCPs) all over Australia. You will be responsible for building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and objectives.
You will make sure a high level of accuracy and scrutiny is applied to the HCPs disbursements ensuring no errors occur. You will be a key contact for HCPs and provide a high level of customer service and support to them. You will work closely with the accounts department and other teams to ensure operational effectiveness and provide efficient administration services to all ForHealth staff and HCPs.
Duties & Responsibilities Include
- Prepare and verify new HCPs vendor creation forms.
- Check vendors’ new contracts or amendment contracts
- Calculate and process high volume HCPs payments weekly & monthly
- Prepare EFT Payments
- Assist with month end closures within the team
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling related transactions
- Manage vendor issues and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Respond to internal and external inquires
- Data entry and day-to-day administration support
- Ad Hoc disbursement duties as required
Desired Education, Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics 365 (desired)
- Accurate written and fluent verbal communication skills
- A high level of numeracy and accuracy with numbers.
- Excellent customer service work ethic.
- An affable person with excellent stakeholder relationship building skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and good initiative.
- Excellent time management skills, deadline driven and able to prioritise.
- Advanced Excel skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Accounting degree, minimum 2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
