Rabobank’s IT Systems department provides IT systems development, maintenance and support to the ANZ region through flexible service platforms, adapting agile methodologies, driving efficiencies and creating a seamless experience for customers and staff.

The IT Squad Lead works closely with the Scum Master and Product Owner roles of the squad to guard the consistency of the IT landscape and cultivate an IT Way of Working across the squad. As delegate System Owner for the IT products and systems maintained within the squad the IT Squad Lead guides the squad with IT system risk activities and impediments.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:

- Lead a medium size team of IT Professionals / Specialist which provides a pool of appropriately skilled people for the needs of the IT Systems department
- Coordinate software development efforts between IT Systems and ITI technical/domain specialists providing consistent and efficient solutions in line with the strategic architectural direction
- Drive and assist software life cycle upgrades, and rationalisation exercises
- Provide system and platform design services which meet the needs of the business
- Identify and remove cross scrum team impediments to improve squad productivity
- Responsible for availability and continuity plan of owned IT Products and systems
- Manage internal suppliers and IT vendors including SaaS vendors where necessary
- Share knowledge and innovation across the squad, in relation to IT products and systems
- Provide supervision of squad to ensure adherence to policies, frameworks, documentation requirements and standards
- Plans, in partnership, with the expertise team change management and training for end users to take advantage of new solutions
- Coordinate with external development resources and vendors, as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders within IT and the business to ensure delivery of solutions that meet specified requirements and align with business priorities
- Provide expert advice on the use of cutting-edge techniques and approaches (e.g., Agile methodology, design thinking, etc.)
- Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations for speed, quality, and value
- Actively contribute to multi-disciplinary communities across squads
- Create cross squad transparency and provide insight into complex work that requires logical activity ordering across owned IT products and systems
- Advocate and champion Agile way of working transformation in particular autonomy within squads and servant leadership
- Develop the squad’s innovation and engineering culture and inspire high performance in achieving outcomes together

**Experience**:

- 10 years + experience in system design, development, testing and/or project implementation and planning
- 5+ years’ experience in leading teams. Able to coordinate effective project teams to complete tasks
- Experience in one or more Core Banking Systems e.g., T24 / BPM/CRM e.g., Pega / Online Mobile Banking e.g., Backbase /DataServices / Integration e.g., Apigee
- Experience working on a transformation program
- Proven Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk processes experience

**Knowledge**:

- Detailed understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Contemporary knowledge of latest industry standard technologies e.g., Portal, API development, Core banking, BPM (desirable)
