**Position Overview**

Provides a consultancy service to management and employees regarding legislation, policies and procedures across a wide range of Human Resource matters. Executive Officer to the OSH Committee.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provides a comprehensive HR consultancy and education service to employees and managers including on all aspects of recruitment and selection activities, workforce management, diversity, employee relations, occupational health and safety, wellbeing programs, induction, orientation, redeployment and redundancy.
- Coordinates end-to-end recruitment activities, including on-boarding, induction of new employees to ensure compliance with Public Sector, Insurance Commission standards and Commissioner Instructions.
- Consults with internal clients to develop and maintain an understanding of key business needs to aid in contributing to the HR Blueprint.
- Uses initiative to find outcomes and solutions to human resources matters and requests from employees or management on all aspects of HR policies, practices and procedures.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the Human Resources branch to ensure the delivery of high quality service delivery.
- Applies equal opportunity and liaises with stakeholder to attract, recruit and maintain a diverse workforce.
- Provides support to the Learning and Development Team, Workforce Planning and Systems/Payroll team where required.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the:

- Occupational Safety, Health and Wellbeing Management Plan
- Human Resource Blueprint. (includes the workforce attraction and recruitment plans, strategies and initiatives) Diversity Action Plan
- Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
- Undertakes the role of Executive Officer for the organization's Occupational Safety and Health Committee
- Monitors incident/hazard reports and identifies emerging risks/trends
- Completes ergonomic assessments and organises equipment
- Assists with entering, maintaining and reviewing of statistical data for Human Resources reporting and findings as required
- Undertakes quality assurance checks and identifies risks on a range of Human Resources activities, management reports and publications.
- Undertakes or assists with human resource projects as required.
- Contributes to continuous improvement and innovation in all activities, including maximisation of opportunities to harness technology to optimise productivity.
- Actively works within a supportive team environment that embraces collaboration, change, innovation and quality customer service.

- Manage all aspects of human resources across a broad range of human resource services within public sector framework

**Pre-employment requirements**
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance no more than six months old
- 100 point identity check
- Satisfactory evidence of Australian residency status or the right to work in Australia
- Satisfactory evidence of essential qualifications or Professional Memberships (where applicable)
- Government Recruitment experience essential (Public Sector recruitment (RAMS), Ascender desirable)
