About the job
Are you seeking a new opportunity with work-life balance and the ability to go home every night? We are currently looking for a motivational leader who can inspire change and make a difference at our Kwinana Refinery, to compliment the Calcination / Shipping operations team
The work roster for this position could be a 10.3-hour day shift, or 12hour continuous shift - days and nights, or a relief position across the various work rosters, but all with considerable time off.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for:
- Coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential,- Developing and upholding very high standards of process and production practices,- Guiding the team to achieve its challenging goals in all areas of the business,- Implementing and sustaining business system improvements, assisting team members to implement suggestion scheme ideas, and the auditing of standardised work practices- You will act as a help chain to the team by guiding the execution of work and utilising your problem solve skills to assist with production and interpersonal issues, achieved utilising Alcoa’s tools and systems provided.

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- A strong processing background,- Validated use of initiative and self-motivation to excel in working with mínimal supervision,- Highly developed team leadership, communication skills and experience in implementing and leading change initiatives is desired, and- The commitment to meet challenges and work with a diverse group to develop and implement strategies across our workgroups.- A strong commitment to driving and upholding a positive safety culture, awareness of the operating environment,- Proficiency in use of computer and MS Office.
