Mitolo Family Farms now offers a great opportunity for highly motivated Assistant Production Managers to join its rapidly growing and dedicated production team in Virginia.

Reporting to the Production Manager you will enjoy working closely with Production Team Leaders and the Maintenance team to ensure key objectives are met in accordance with supply and quality indicators. You will enjoy leading teams and creating a positive work culture, have a passion for food quality and production equipment and be inspired to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Your duties will include**:

- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of production related continuous improvement projects to improve quality, production, efficiency, time and cost.
- Accountable for the day-to-day management of production processes for their area of responsibility to meet daily Key Performance Indicators.
- Assist in analysing production efficiencies and providing detailed reports to Production Managers.
- Responsible for identifying processes and system improvements to ensure that efficiencies are gained, and waste is reduced
- Liaising with the Sales Department to ensure production processes continue to meet customers and sales requirements, as well as forward planning to ensure peak sales tonnages are achieved.
- Liaising with the Maintenance Manager to address equipment maintenance needs, ensuring uninterrupted production processes.
- Ensure that any machinery issues or breakdowns are reported to the Maintenance Manager and dealt with effectively.
- Ensure all organisational policies, Workplace Health and Safety and Quality requirements are consistently met.
- Responsible for the effective management, mentoring and providing support to Team Leaders and on the job training.

**The following skills and attributes will be highly regarded**:

- Previous experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment
- Experience with leading and managing teams
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to make timely decisions
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and demonstrated compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),Work, Health and Safety (WHS), and Quality.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including (Excel; Word; Outlook; etc)
