As the new Sales Representative, you will meet and exceed business targets and grow existing territory through exploring new and untapped business opportunities whilst maintaining and building on existing customer relationships.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the State Manager, this is an integral member of the Sales team, responsible for managing both our existing customers and developing new business opportunities.

Permanent office-based position Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Building strong business relationships with current and potential customers.
- Understanding customer needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential customer questions and follow-up enquiries.
- Regional travel required. 1 week every 3 months.
- Preparing quotations as required.
- Meeting with potential clients at required locations.
- Meeting all quotas for cold, active, and inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
- Implement and utilize the prescribed documents and processes as contained within in the Integrated Business Management System.
- Provide technical back up and support either directly or indirectly to customers in a timely and responsive manner, including regular updates on stock availability and lead times.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
- Understand and supports sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity in the marketplace, including market pricing feedback for product, new organizational structures, facilities, special offers and marketing activities.

**About You**:

- Proven sales experience is essential. Prior experience within the Electrical Wholesale industry is desirable but not imperative.
- Formal qualification in Business Administration, Sales, Trade, Engineering or related field.
- You are detail oriented with a strong technical aptitude.
- Tech savvy with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and ERP experience.
- Able to perform successfully under pressure and prioritize multiple changing priorities.
- Flexible and open to change.
- Current Class C Driver’s License.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.
- Self-starter who is proactive, passionate, energetic and results focused.
- Must be an Australian / New Zealand resident or citizen. Sponsorship is not offered for this role. (No temporary visas, unfortunately).
