Exciting permanent Part Time Finance Officer position with organisation in Melbourne's west. 20 hours per week.

**The Role**

This is a permanent position for a Part Time Finance Officer which reports directly to the Finance Manager. Initially the position will be 20 hours per week, and this can be worked over 3,4 or 5 days depending on your preference. The company are very flexible and happy to work around your other commitments.

The role is varied and challenging with key day to day duties including:

- Processing accounts payable and receivable for one main subsidiary
- Re-evaluations in USD and Euro
- Chasing any unpaid debts and supporting customers with issues
- Accounts receivable invoicing, reporting and payment allocations
- Month end reconciliations
- BAS reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Providing general support to the Finance Manager
- Maintaining stock and inventory spreadsheets
- Monthly account statement generation

It will suit someone who is comfortable commuting to the inner western suburbs and is happy to be part of a small, busy accounting team. Crucially, you must also be able to commit to part time hours on a long-term basis.

Initial sourcing and shortlisting will take place from late January with interviews commencing on after the Australia Day weekend.

Overall, this is a great role for a Finance Officer, Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant who is looking to work reduced hours, but in a challenging role with a great mid-sized employer.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in accounting with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Experience working in the Australian market
- Permanent residency or citizenship is preferred
- Must be comfortable commuting to Melbourne's inner western suburbs
- Prior base level experience with Accounts Payable, Receivable and general Bookkeeping
- Stable career history and strong communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of GST, BAS, PAYG, debits and credits
- Desire to work part time (20 hours per week)
