The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time Senior Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to manage the day-to-day operation in our core laboratory in our new custom designed laboratory in Eight Mile Plains, ensuring the standards and accreditation requirements are adhered to, while delivering exceptional customer to our customers. As the Senior Scientist, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the team’s supervision and training, quality management, complaints handling, stock take, routine diagnostic testing and reporting while striving for continues improvement.

Bachelor of Medical Science/or equivalent degree.

Experience working in Haematology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Urinalysis and Parasitology departments within a diagnostic laboratory.

Experience managing and training staff.

Understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025, 9001 standards

Ability to work Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm and occasional weekends

Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment

Passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
