**Description**

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring compliance and driving best practices? We are seeking a talented HR Governance Advisor to join our People Enablement team within the People & Culture function.

In this pivotal role, you will lead projects focused on risk, governance, and compliance, ensuring our P&C practices align with regulatory requirements and RACQ policies. You will also be a key source of advice and support on risk and governance matters, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, industrial relations, and compliance. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Manager People Enablement, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust and compliant HR framework that supports our employees and the wider organisation.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- Work closely with the Group Risk and Compliance teams (Line 2 Risk and RCCE) to implement group-wide initiatives within the HR function, ensuring consistency and meeting expectations.
- Identify and escalate issues, working collaboratively to propose solutions for complex or sensitive situations.
- Conduct research and contribute to recommendations on people-related matters, business cases, and reports for senior leaders.
- Implement and maintain appropriate governance frameworks to effectively manage human resource-related risks.
- Design and implement a range of strategic internal projects and critical P&C business activities, including enterprise agreement negotiations, group-wide framework changes, major P&C initiatives, and ad-hoc issues.
- Lead risk mitigation initiatives, including conducting risk mapping exercises for the People and Culture function.
- Review and provide valuable input to enhance HR support processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

**Your experience will include**:

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in employee relations, human resources, risk, compliance or a legal environment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and through verbal presentations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and meet deadlines.
- A solid understanding of and the ability to interpret relevant legislation and enterprise agreements with a commercial perspective.
- Experience in process review and mapping with demonstrated positive outcomes.
- The ability to draft clear, concise, and effective processes and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
