**About the Opportunity**
An exciting opportunity exists for a collaborative and enthusiastic Human Resources Advisor to work as part of a supportive team. This is a new role that has been created to work in conjunction with an existing HR Advisor. This role will take on responsibility for HR matters within the Laboratories, and corporate areas of the business and will have responsibility for WHS for the whole of organisation. This role will be responsible for providing HR Generalist services and advice in areas including Remuneration and Benefits, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Work Health and Safety and Workforce Planning.
The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer/HR Manager and works closely to support them deliver the organisations strategic direction as well as a small HR team to deliver the organisation's operational HR and WHS function. There is also the requirement to support and advise organisational leaders to manage HR and WHS issues in their teams.
**Your duties will include**:
- Provision of expert advice to Executive Managers, Supervisors and employees with all employee relations matters.
- Provide leadership, support and advice on a broad range of work health and safety matters
- Ongoing assessment of risks in each department and institute preventative measures
- WHS Policy collation and maintenance
- Manage the implementation and review process for all work health and safety systems and strategies
- Chairing monthly WHS committee meetings
- Provide written and verbal reports, as required to the Executive
- Monitor, develop and implement key initiatives and management plans to ensure best practice and compliance obligations are met
- Ensure the organisation maintains currency with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes and standards.
- Represent Clinpath Pathology as required
- Chief Fire Warden
- Continual development and implementation of risk management strategies
- Ensure hazard and chemical registers are maintained and make appropriate recommendations
- Implement a philosophy of continuous improvement with the promotion of a safe and healthy work environment
- Assist the CFO/HR Manager to pilot new models/processes and implement new strategy, policy and processes as required.
**Applicants should possess the following**:
- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to prioritise for the benefit of the business, better patient care, and excellent service.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
- Understanding of employee relations and experience engaging with workforce, unions, and Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant workplace legislation, particularly regarding WHS.
- A highly organised approach with the ability to prioritise workloads, and manage multiple and demanding deadlines.
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
- The ability to communicate in a concise and articulate manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel and Word.
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources.
- You will be required to receive the COVID 19 vaccination in order to perform this role and provide evidence.
