**A day in the life of a Compliance Manager**
- Support with compliance management across the business:

- Work closely with internal SMEs (ie Legal, Privacy, Liquor, Gaming, AML, Product/Food Safety, HR teams etc) to maintain compliance registers
- Support with the development and ongoing maintenance of Operational Compliance Plans - this includes proactively engaging with SMEs and business stakeholders to ensure OCPs are up to date and are actively used
- Working with SMEs, HR and external training service providers to develop and monitor compliance training and education for team members, including reporting on training completion rates
- Support in the investigation and response to compliance issues arising
- Liaise with regulators as required, with support from the Legal team
- Reporting: preparation of various forms of reporting for a broad range of stakeholders including Board and senior management;
- Controls monitoring:

- Work closely SMEs and business partners to identify, develop, test and report on controls monitoring
- Support business partners in the review of results, analysis, identification of trends, issues and opportunities for the improvement of controls
- Controls improvement: work closely with SMEs, business partners and external partners to plan and prioritise, support and coordinate their development/implementation of control frameworks and management of improvement/remediation programs
- Support with broader risk management across the business and continuing to embed risk management into our culture and business:

- Risk identification, risk assessment/analysis, process flow and controls assessment, documentation and reporting - this will be done working closely with senior risk colleagues and partnering with business stakeholders, and will include facilitating discussion and workshop sessions;
- Assist with the identification of key risk indicators and maintain regular monitoring and reporting of indicators as required
- Proactively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks, strategies and methodologies
- Assist with continuing to embed risk management into our culture and ways of working, including identifying new and innovative ways of approaching risk management tailored to the business audience

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- 5+ years of compliance / risk management experience working in a consulting/advisory firm and/or established corporate function
- Strong technical skills in, and knowledge of, compliance / risk management fundamentals including risk and controls assessment and business process reviews
- Experience with the preparation of internal reports
- Tertiary qualification in law, business/commerce or other relevant discipline
- The following would also be highly desireable_
- Experience in retail or other consumer-facing or operation-heavy industry
- Experience with data analytics, reporting and visualisation tools
- Experience with Google suite
