**What you’ll be doing**:
The Manager, Accounts Payable role is a member of the Financial Control Leadership Team and has the primary responsibility of managing the Accounts Payable function to ensure accurate, on time supplier payments, employee expense payments and corporate credit card program management. Using Oracle Fusion this role will be focused on streamlining and optimising Accounts Payable to deliver the outcome, while ensuring best practice team structure and team effectiveness. You will have a strong focus on continuous improvement. This role will drive the Accounts Payable collaboration with others across the P2P value stream and broader Finance function, including Treasury and Accounting. The role is responsible for managing efficient processing of supplier invoices in accordance with relevant tax obligations, payment of supplier invoices in accordance with agreed terms, managing the creditors ledger and ensuring appropriate controls and governance to manage financial risks.
- Responsible for process improvement to innovate, mature and transform Accounts Payable by continuously streamlining and optimising
- Management of the overall delivery of the accounts payable function
- Review, identification, and delivery of most appropriate model for the Accounts Payable function
- Provide leadership and support to team members in the resolution of complex issues not limited to payables including collaborating with the Purchasing, Treasury and Accounting teams to deliver a seamless whole of finance function for the business
- Set and communicate appropriate measurable targets for team members
- Monitor and track accounts payable targets are being achieved and make performance outcome recommendations, where applicable
- Actively motivate and coach team members to ensure performance to a defined standard and team engagement
- Drive innovation to achieve continuous improvement and supporting teams to adapt quickly and readily to change
- Ability to manage stakeholders at senior levels across the business and externally through exceptional verbal and written communication
- Ensure the creditors ledger is accurate to enable timely and accurate supplier payments and assist with working capital forecasting and accrual accounting.
- Reconciliation and resolution of any differences to ensure the Accounts Payable Ledger agrees to the General Ledger.
- Report and drive improvement in key agreed Accounts Payable metrics

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Extensive experience in Accounts Payable/ Shared Services
- Demonstrated leadership experience, where you have coached, developed and lead an accounts payable and or purchasing team (onshore or offshore)
- Demonstrated previous experience of optimising processes for a large organisation
- Experience driving system improvements (or new systems) and other continuous improvement initiatives
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel & strong reporting and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to confidently identify and question assumptions
- Knowledge of purchasing value stream and accounting concepts, principles and practice
