**The Role**
Work within the Defence Strategic Communication team to:

- Take a lead role within the Branch work-take-on capacity to gather end user requirements, assess requests, and coordinate capability enhancement activities.
- Assist Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to review and coordinate engineering uplift tasks.
- Coordinate with technical delivery team’s across the wider Group and Division to ensure strategic communication tasks are effectively delivered.
- Assist the Unified Collaboration SME to track, coordinate and address service uplift quality issues.
- Assist the Network SME to track, coordinate and address service uplift and quality issues.
- Assist other SME’s to design and deliver technical outcomes in response to wider defence needs.
- Assist Project Managers to coordinate and execute technical delivery aspects in support of their projects.
- Assist Project Managers to understand and report on technical delivery aspects in support of their projects.
- Work with technical and ITSM teams to ensure technical delivery is effectively coordinated for optimum outcomes

**About our Team**
Within the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), the Defence Strategic Communication Branch (DSCB) - Strategic Communication Sustainment & Interoperability (SCSI) is a large and complex team of people tasked with providing efficient oversight and uplift of critical services serving the wider Australian Defence Force and our Coalition partners.

This role will form an important part of the wider capability sustainment and uplift outcomes delivered by the Directorate and the Branch. The position capitalises on specialist knowledge and experience to deliver server driven outcomes in support of secure communication and information sharing initiatives within Defence, and between AUS Defence and our allied/coalition partners.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to meet and exceed their expectations.
- Translate complex stakeholder requirements into deliverable work packages, then take carriage of coordination and/or execution of outcomes.
- Work well with other team members, sharing responsibilities to deliver key outcomes.
- Effectively report on financial, project and stakeholder engagement activities both internally and to stakeholders across varying levels.
- Ability to problem solve, including an outcome-focussed attitude to take the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with/or willing to learn about ICT projects, ICT service management, VISIO, SharePoint and MS Teams/Planner would be an advantage.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 clearance.
