**The Role of the Associate Director, Safety and Health**
The Associate Director Safety and Health provides strategic leadership and direction for the
provision of the work health and safety (WHS) program for Murdoch University.
The Associate Director Safety and Health leads the WHS Department, encompassing OSH, injury
management, workers’ compensation, and well-being. Ensures WHS services are aligned and
implemented to meet strategic organisational priorities and is consistent with relevant legislation,
standards, policies, and frameworks.

The People and Culture office is an integral part of the business strategy and decision-making
process focusing their efforts on strategic and operational programs and services that supports
staff across professional and academic areas in the university and organisational strategic
objectives.

**Key responsibilities & duties**
