**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are seeking an experienced Events Consultant to join our Brand and Marketing team. In this role you will work closely with the Events Manager and will be responsible for delivering and managing your own portfolio of client and major staff events. Acting as a trusted adviser to the Partners, it is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to showcase their innovation, creativity and events expertise, while having the opportunity to connect with other Business Development and legal professionals within the firm.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Project management and delivery of in person and virtual client events and key staff events by identifying client requirements and objectives, risks associated with the event and providing expert recommendations to ensure delivery of events meet clients’ objectives.
- Fiscal responsibility and management of operations, which includes the preparation and management of event budgets.
- Maintaining industry knowledge and market trends.
- Management of suppliers/vendors
- Provide advice relating to the BD and Client Strategy program by keeping up to date with the firm’s client strategy to ensure recommendations and event objectives remain supportive of relevant strategies.
- Ensure that all events and duties are carried out in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in this role, you will enjoy problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the business. You will also have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in the end-to-end management and successful delivery of small and large scale in person events and experience with virtual/hybrid events an advantage.
- Proven ability to work to client briefs and defined objectives, to deliver strategically aligned events.
- Ability to develop innovative concepts and to translate external trends and opportunities into memorable client experiences
- Demonstrates financial awareness and the ability to work within a budget, negotiate with suppliers
- Ability to identify and deliver high standards of hospitality service, with the confidence to foresee issues and address them proactively
- Proven ability to think ahead, and to work under pressure to meet deadlines, with capacity for flexibility in working hours.
- Exemplary stakeholder relations skills and demonstrable experience in working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Formal event management qualifications in conjunction with industry experience will be highly regarded.

Our National Events team works within the Brand and Marketing which aims to build reputation, revenue, and relationships amongst our target markets in the areas we most want to be known for, buy creating intuitive, engaging, and memorable client event experiences.
As part of the broader Business Development team, you will play a valuable role in contributing to the firm’s success by creating and delivering a portfolio of client events.
