**Who we are**
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) is a Corporate Commonwealth entity. ARENA’s main objective is to improve the competitiveness of renewable energy technologies and increase the supply of renewable energy in Australia. ARENA was established on 1 July 2012 under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Act 2011 (the ARENA Act). ARENA has received significant additional funding over the past 3 budget cycles and is trusted by the Government to deliver many of its most impactful emissions reduction programs. ARENA supports the Government's emissions reduction goals of 43% reduction in net emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050, through its focus on technology innovation and commercialisation to the benefit of Australia.
ARENA complements other funding bodies and provides financial assistance to renewable energy, energy efficiency and electrification technologies for research, development, demonstration and deployment projects. The provision of knowledge sharing forms an important part of ARENA’s functions. ARENA operates under its own Act of Parliament, and the ARENA Board and CEO are responsible to the Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen MP.

**The Job**
As a Contract Manager in the Project Delivery Branch at ARENA, you will use your exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and critical analysis skills to help ARENA accelerate the uptake of renewable energy technology in Australia.
You will be influential in collaborating across the Agency and with a range of industry stakeholders to deliver on Renewable Energy Projects. You may lead or support the design and negotiation of funding agreements to deliver projects. Your role is critical in supporting the relevant ARENA decision makers and Senior Executive. Additionally, you will be a key contact point between ARENA and its external stakeholders. You are confident in managing customer expectations and providing high-level support, working collaboratively internally and externally and understand relevant legislation.
You will manage and deliver on stakeholder expectations, manage contract compliance, assess milestones and negotiate contract variations. You will contribute to the reporting, analysis and strategic work of the Agency.
We are looking for Contract Managers that are critical to the delivery of business outcomes in the Branch and the organisation. You will need to communicate with influence, take a proactive approach to solving problems consider wider agency implications when making decisions, build and sustain internal and external relationships and engage constructively with risk.
The Project Solutions team supports round design and contract negotiation for new investments. The team is also responsible for managing high risk projects and major project variations and terminations.
The Contract Management Services team is responsible for the management of the majority of ARENA’s active grant contracts: managing relationships with funding recipients, assessing contract milestones and variations; maintaining exemplary records, assisting the Delegate, Executive and Board as needed, and contributing to ARENA’s objectives.
