As the Activity Approvals Officer you will be part of the team that oversees the use of City halls and reserves by the community. Part of this role is to undertake periodic inspections where required to ensure the use of the halls and reserves is undertaken in accordance with the conditions of approval. The role is also responsible for issuing approvals and permits for events, food stalls and trading on public land. There is a high level of engagement with the residents in our community, and you will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.

You are a strong communicator; possess the ability to work autonomously or in a team and have a passion for learning and developing your skills. With well-developed time management skills and attention to detail, you are able to get on with analytically complex tasks and produce written documents to support your recommendations.
- Current unrestricted ‘C’ class drivers licence
- Sound analytical and decision making skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret relevant legislation such as Local Government Act 1995, Health (Public Building) Regulations 1992 (WA) and other local laws.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills

**We are offering a salary of $83,781 per annum plus superannuation**
