It is also a specialist in the upgrade of naval vessels providing systems and platforms integration capabilities. This role sits within one of our Defence co-located in service support team.
**About Your Role: Compliance Officer**
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Compliance Officer to join us based on-site at HMAS Stirling, WA.**
You will collaborate and work closely with leadership and management teams as well as front-line staff to promote the risk and compliance culture.
In this role, you will be working closely with the in-service support teams to ensure that the services delivered for MU90 LWT are to the highest standard.
This is achieved by supporting and influencing quality control including key documentation and compliance with ISO standards in a unique environment.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Create or assist in creating documentation to satisfy objective quality evidence requirements
- Regularly check or verify work against internal procedures, operations, practices to identify possible compliance weaknesses or risk.
- Assist management team and/or relevant stakeholders in creating & managing action plans to prevent re-occurrence of Compliance violations noted or raised.
- Working across a range of internal teams and functions
- Advise the leadership and management teams of changes to regulations or legislation
- Facilitate the identification of key compliance obligations
- Establish, monitor and measure compliance performance
- Use approved tools and systems to report compliance status to management teams, to ensure accountability.
- Co-ordinate with Thales Quality Assurance and Configuration Managers regarding MU90 ISS Quality Control.
- Collate and prepare elements of HS&E and Quality reporting
**About You?**
- **Certification in safety or quality management**:
- Diploma Level Accreditation in a quality-related Discipline highly regarded
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
- Background in a technical area or production and operations is highly regarded
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to set and change priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
