**The role**
Join a team dedicated to supporting the financial sustainability and performance of councils across NSW. In this role you’ll analyse long-term financial data, identify risks, and develop frameworks to ensure compliance with key regulations. Your insights and recommendations will help drive meaningful improvements in council performance, ensuring that local governments can effectively serve their communities.

You'll navigate complex projects, balance competing priorities, and engage with diverse stakeholders on often sensitive issues. Your ability to analyse financial information, provide clear advice, and deliver high-quality reporting will be key to success in this dynamic environment.

**About you**:

- Deep understanding of **government operations and legislation.**:

- Strong background in **financial analysis** and data interpretation.
- Ability to **deliver strategic advice** on financial sustainability and governance.
- Skilled in **stakeholder engagement**, including working with councils and policymakers.
- Excellent **written and verbal communication skills**, ensuring clarity in reports and briefings.
- Experience managing **multiple projects** in high-pressure environments.
