**About the Company**:
This product company sits at the forefront of its industry, providing a wide variety of payment solutions to a range of B2B clients, allowing them to connect with their customers and continually deliver the most relevant and updated payments technology. They are now looking for a Product Owner with strong knowledge and experience in the payments space to join them as they continue to deliver market leading products and services to businesses across Australia.

**About the Role**:
As a Product Owner, you will act as the conduit between Product, Engineering and the business, to drive customer and product initiatives across a portfolio of payments products. Working as part of an Agile delivery squad you will be responsible for prioritising the product and feature backlogs, and supporting Product Managers and multiple delivery teams with product delivery. You will work to build strong relationships across the business and be able to manage the expectations of senior stakeholders, balancing business, technical and commercial priorities to maximise the product value.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners to assist with the delivery of the new products, features, and the defect backlog
- Prioritisation of the product backlog and new feature ideas based on customer and business value
- Ownership of the acceptance criteria and approvals relating to stories executed by delivery squads, aligned to the product roadmap
- Work with the Product Manager and the business to develop the product roadmap and strategy in line with business objectives
- Effective risk management and product governance, you will identify any potential product risks and ways to mitigate them
- Work with your team to maintain compliance with all corporate and regulatory product
- governance requirements and standards.
- High level of stakeholder management, you will have the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholder expectations and conflicting priorities
- Collaborate with the delivery and engineering squads to determine the release plans; taking into consideration the priorities of different stakeholders and the broader business

**About You**:

- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner working with agile delivery squads
- Demonstrated experience of agile development methodologies, including backlog management, prioritisation, user story definition and refinement
- Must have experience working in the payments industry and strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
- Proven ability to effectively engage and work with a broad range of stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams
- A background in software development is highly desired, with the ability to facilitate technical discussions and answer technical questions
