Role:
The Practice Manager works under the direction of the Principal of the practice. The Practice Manager retains responsibility for their actions and remains accountable for all delegated functions. Tasks required may include strategic planning, review and implementation of processes in a practice that increase efficiency and contribute to the overall excellence of care provided to our patients.

Function:
The position exists to ensure that the management of the practice fully supports the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensures safe and hygienic standards of care and works safely within the guidelines of medico-legal and WHS policies.

Essential Criteria:
The Practice Manager is expected to have demonstrated achievement or capability in the following areas:

- Practice Management experience for minimum of 2 years in General Practice with proven recent tracking record in Australia.
- Medical Director, Best Practice or other clinical software experience
- Availability of a minimum of 3 weekday shifts per week
- Strong customer service and practice support/people skills with an ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable, energetic, well presented and professional at all times
- Excellence in Microsoft Office/Excel and Office Management skills
- A broad understanding of the requirements of a small to medium business.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in fluent English.
- Time management skills and the ability to priorities tasks.
- Leadership and team building experience.
- Ability to devise and review systems for operational efficiency and control.
- Excellent office management skills.
- Computer management skills, including information security (computer backup).
- Skills in accounting and business reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of employment conditions.
- Commitment to continuing education.
- Decision making competence.

General Responsibilities:

- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures of the practice.
- Collect and document data accurately and comprehensively.
- Maintenance of the assets of the practice.
- Recruitment of other staff.
- Facilitate induction of new staff.
- Review of staff performance and appraisal.
- Coordinate and formulate doctor’s rosters.
- Assistance in facilitating GP Registrar and Medical Student placements.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Financial reports and reviews.
- Strategies to increase revenue.
- Maintenance of records.
- Debt collection.

Desirable Criteria
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Customer service experience
- Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical)
- Diploma of Practice Management (Medical)
- Preferred experience using PracSoft and MedicalDirector software
- Proven achievements in all of the above

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
