**Assistant State Manager - Icon Cancer Centres Queensland**

As the Assistant State Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the operational management and performance of a designated Queensland region. Reporting directly to the Queensland State Manager, you will lead a team to ensure effective and efficient operations and the achievement of targets, as well as actively identifying and implementing business innovations and growth opportunities.

Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient-centred care and driving continuous improvement across our portfolio of cancer services.
- Permanent full-time position; Ideally based in South-East Qld

**About the Role**:
Expanding services has opened the door for an exciting opportunity in our Cancer Services portfolio, prompting the creation of a new role for an **Assistant** **State Manager**.

The role exists to lead the successful operational management of a portfolio of designated Cancer Centres in Queensland. Reporting to the Qld State Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to all teams within the portfolio cancer centres, ensuring the provision of quality cancer care services and the delivery of financial and non-financial targets.

**Key Responsibilities**

**_Leadership_**:Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Support the State Manager in delivering strategic outcomes and maintain a strong presence across designated sites.

**_Financial and Operational Management_**: Oversee financial performance (Review site P/L Statements, follow up anomalies with Site Managers, draft monthly reports for State Manager), manage expenses, and ensure compliance with operational standards. Contribute to strategic planning and project management initiatives.

**_Business Development:_** Develop strategic relationships with medical professionals and stakeholders to drive growth and expansion. Coordinate business development activities and execute plans to achieve targets.

**_Quality and operational excellence_**: Drive operational improvements to enhance service quality. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold our commitment to service excellence and patient-centred care.

**_Project Management:_** Manage and support key development projects, contributing to strategic initiatives and identifying growth opportunities.

**Skills & Experience**
- Minimum of three years' leadership experience in healthcare, preferably within oncology or the private healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated business acumen including financial management and strategic decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Relevant undergraduate degree in health or business-related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
