**About the role**

As a **Disability Support Worker**, you will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our clients to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community. You will work with a wide range of customers in **Brisbane North and Moreton Bay areas**.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
- Facilitating individual & group activities
- Transporting customers to & from services & activities
- Maintaining & establishing links to community
- Promoting independent decision making
- Work within the principles of person-centred practice
- Weekend and sleepover shifts

**About you**

You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on providing exceptional support whilst ensuring clients achieve their goals and aspirations.

**You will also be able to clearly articulate and demonstrate**:

- Genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with a disability
- Ability to work in a team & individually

- Experience working with clients with complex support needs
- Driven, energetic & committed
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible and reliable
- Current open QLD driver's licence (essential)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (essential)
- Cert III in Individual Support or willing to obtain (essential)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.76 - $41.76 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week

Schedule:

- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
