Ready for Life Disability is looking for a disability support worker.

Ready for life is open to both sub-contractors or someone without an ABN wanting casual employment as a disability support worker.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support people with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, enhance their independence, and participate actively in their communities. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care and work collaboratively with clients, their families, and our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
- Support clients to develop daily living skills and independence.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, and household tasks.
- Facilitate community participation and engagement in social, recreational, and employment activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Work in accordance with individual support plans and NDIS guidelines.
- Promote dignity, respect, and choice for each person supported.

**Essential Requirements**
- Current **NDIS Worker Screening Check** (or willingness to obtain).
- Current **Working With Children Check** (WWCC).
- Current **National Police Check**.
- Current **First Aid & CPR Certificate**.
- Current **Australian Driver’s Licence** and reliable vehicle.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination (as per government requirements).
- Right to work in Australia.

**Skills & Attributes**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and respect for diversity.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Organised, reliable, and committed to professional boundaries.
- Understanding of the NDIS and person-centred care principles.

**Desirable**
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent - but not necessary.
- Previous experience in disability support or community services - but not necessary.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
