Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering Perdaman Industries’ urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australian and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

We are currently searching for a Lead Environmental Advisor to join the Perdaman Project team in Perth. Reporting to the HSSE Manager, you will ensure that the company maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel, in accordance with Clough Management system expectations, operating standards, and HSSE management manual, statutory requirements, and client specifications.

This position will initially be based in the Perth office but will transition to a site role on a FIFO roster as the project progresses.

Your focus will include:
- Continued development of environmental systems in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.- Providing feedback environmental performance and strategic advice to Senior Management on environment and sustainability.- Assuring compliance with legislative and other requirements with respect to the environment.- Preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for the Perdaman project.- Preparation of tenders, pre-qualification and HAZID workshops as required.- Providing advice for environmental incident reporting and investigations.- Conducting work site environmental audits.- Identifying environmental training and induction requirements and preparing/ delivering training programmes to meet Company & project requirements.- Reviewing and producing relevant environmental reports/ documentation including incident reports, client/ contractor plans & procedures.

What you will bring to the team:
- 10+ years relevant Environmental Advisor experience, in a lead capacity.- 5+ years’ experience working within a project management environment, preferably on large construction projects.- Degree qualified (Bachelor of Environmental Science or similar) or significant on-the-job experience with part professional qualifications.- Experience in the energy, resources and infrastructure and major capital project/construction will be beneficial.- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and stakeholder expectations.- Strong relationship building skills to ensure deliverables are clearly articulated.- Effectively and efficiently handle multiple responsibilities at the same time.
