Environmental Advisor required for busy state government department on 6 month contract

**Your new company**

We are working with a busy State Government Department who are working across a number of large infrastructure projects across WA. The department is experiencing a period of growth and is looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join their Environmental Services Branch on an initial 6-month contract.

**Your new role**

Working within the Project Delivery Support team, you will be responsible for the following:

- Providing environmental support to the Environmental Manager and Principal Environmental Advisor
- Assist in the discharge of the Departments environmental responsibilities during the planning and execution of major projects
- Conduct investigations into environmental incidents, identifying environmental risks
- Develop controls for environmental risk mitigation and progress improvement initiatives

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree-level qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in engaging and managing environmental consultants.
- Relevant knowledge and experience with a broad range of environmental issues such as contaminated sites, revegetation, infrastructure sustainability, Aboriginal heritage, asbestos and noise and vibration.
