**About the Team**
- The Digital Design team is responsible for developing and producing content along the entire end to end customer journey from acquisition to onboarding to growth for all channels.

**About the Role**
- As the Multimedia Designer you will have a diverse range of skills to create innovative and engaging content using motion graphics, typography, colour and space for our digital platforms. Those experiences will inspire, engage and excite users, while helping them use Xero products confidently and independently. We believe that all of our content should be beautiful and accessible. You’ll be supporting the Content Design Lead and Digital Design Director to deliver agreed strategic priorities inline with our global governance and strategy and contribute to Xero’s growth aspirations.

You’ll make an impact on Xero and our customers by ensuring that we have the best scalable content in SaaS and provide experiences that accelerate commercial outcomes for Xero and enable customers to successfully achieve their desired outcomes and become skilled and confident using Xero and running their business.

**What you'll do**
- Partner with content leads creating delightful visuals, ensuring content is on brand and of a high standard using a number of formats.
- Storyboard and develop #beautiful In-app and trailer videos using AfterEffects
- Create visual assets and illustrations for social and live event campaigns
- Work with our global teams to produce world-class experiences
- Ensure we have processes, styles guides and tools to enable the delivery of digital content.
- Create high standard production ready assets in alignment with brand guidelines, including video, motion graphics and illustrations
- Champion the team's training and development to achieve our strategic goals
- Ensure digital content is diverse, inclusive and accessible
- Communicate effectively, be able to clearly present your ideas and rationale in conversations with others, and through lo-fi / hi-fi prototypes, storyboards, and user stories
- Liaise between teams keeping stakeholders informed about the projects
- Liaise with Xero’s Creative Hub, to ensure high standards and consistency in artwork and all visual material
- Demonstrate innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgement in complex and ambiguous situations

**What you'll bring with you**
- 3+ years crafting visual media including videos, gifs, images, and illustrations

- You have a great portfolio that exhibits a variety of motion graphic/ interface design work and a strong visual aesthetic
- Demonstrable experience in creating creative, engaging multimedia content from agreed scripts
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and adhere to tight deadlines, taking large projects from concept to completion
- Deliver the project’s objectives and manage delivery to the correct stakeholder
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative & planning skills
- Out of the box thinker, always ready to bring in new ideas to test
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with an enthusiasm for building strong relationships
- Process driven with the ability to take ownership
