Data & Insights Specialist

**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data & Insights Specialist to join our People & Culture team at BOQ Group. This role will support all employee related data and reporting (internal & external); and will need to be able to merge datasets across multiple systems to provide accurate metrics, analysis and visualisations; that lead to meaningful insights.

This role sits within the People and Culture team and will need an energetic and proactive approach to be successful.

Responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining and developing monthly P&C dashboards of key metrics and contributing to other initiatives
- Modelling and analysing HR data
- Resolving data anomalies
- Report writing and storytelling for stakeholders, with the ability to interpret data, identifying trends and patterns to guide decision making
- Data definition, collection, cleaning, extraction and validation
- The creation and running of reports from various HR Systems and responding to ad-hoc requests
- Have a strong ongoing relationships with stakeholders in P&C and the business to collaborate and work towards outcomes.
- Be involved in key projects that relate to People data

**About you**

We are seeking an experienced Data and Insights specialist with 1-3 years in a similar role. You will have proven experience with combining multiple and various datasets with an understanding of concepts and practices along with the ability to work well under pressure and excellent time management skills in order to meet deadlines.

Key skills and attributes include:

- Experience in appropriately managing the privacy and confidentiality of employee data
- Strong system acumen & analytical skills
- Strong data literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with Power BI is highly desirable
- Technical proficiency in SQL Server, Excel and other industry data analysis tools and methods.
- Readiness to work positively with others, and contribute to the team
- Ability to work under pressure, with time management skills in order to meet deadlines
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Statistics, Business Analytics or with proven and demonstrated experience.
