Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

**Early Childhood Educator - Diploma (Kindergarten)**

**Hourly Rate**:**$30.58 to $32.05 (rate dependent on level of experience)

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Early Years team are seeking Diploma qualified educators to work in the role of an additional educators in our kindergarten programs.

At Leslie Gribble Kindergarten children are provided with a safe and welcoming place to learn. The service caters to a multicultural community. We work together with families to ensure the needs of the children and the families are met. This role is a part time position 30 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:45-2:45pm and Wednesdays 10:30am-4:30pm during school terms only.

Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards.
- Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Current CPR - HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
- Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
