Reporting to the Director Infrastructure, this role forms a critical part of the senior leadership network at Knox City Council. Leading a highly capable and engaged team across a critical portfolio of services including road and drainage maintenance, street sweeping, reactive maintenance, hazard inspection, civil construction works, asset preservation, engineering design, project delivery and the management and maintenance of the Council's fleet. You will drive a culture of high performance and accountability to deliver great outcomes for local residents. You will champion best practice customer service, actively listening to the needs of the customer to ensure that the physical infrastructure and assets of the City enhances the quality of life for the community.

As a results-oriented leader, you bring experience in complex service delivery organisations with an understanding of regulatory environments and passion for civil infrastructure. Well regarded for being a values-driven leader, you have strong operational experience and qualifications combined with the demonstrated ability to manage output and performance with a proven track-record of being able to deliver to operational performance targets. You have a thorough understanding of financial management, contract management, OH&S legislation and possess strong communication skills that enable you to collaborate and engage with the broader organisation. To ensure community engagement and stakeholder relationships are developed and enhanced in your teams, you lead by example in promoting a culture of customer centricity and best practice methodologies across your teams to contribute to the overall well-being and safety of the community.
