**Your new role**:
**We have an exciting full time ongoing position as Maternal Child Health Nurse Coordinator**

The Maternal and Child Health Service Coordinator is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Maternal and Child Health Services within Knox City Council.

To provide support and motivation for the MCH team in continuous improvement through consultation and ongoing service review to ensure the best possible service for our families and children.

With support from the Coordinator Early Years Health & Wellbeing, this role will also assist with leading and supporting the Early Years Health & Wellbeing team to achieve Council's Early Years' Vision and to align with the Council and Community plans as they relate to children and families.

This role is responsible for upholding Council’s commitment and legal responsibilities in ensuring children are safe in our community and organisation through complying with, promoting and advocating for Child Safe practices. This includes the Council’s Child Safe Policy and Procedures, Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and the Mandatory Reporting Scheme.

**What you will need to thrive**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation authority (AHPRA) as a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualification in Child and Family Health
- Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to establish strong collaborative partnerships across diverse ranges of services and organisations with an integrated approach to high quality service delivery
- A specialist knowledge of the MCH Service with demonstrated experience in the delivery of a MCH Service using evidence-based and integrated service delivery principles within applicable legislative, policy, funding and service requirements
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the MCH program
- Ability to design and lead operational MCH Service projects on time and to the quality and standard expected in a Coordinator role

This is a specified role under the Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement, remuneration will be $135,364.89 gross per annum, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
