**Where you'll be working**

The NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service (NSW OTDS) is the state-wide NSW Health agency responsible to save and improve the lives of more Australians through optimising every potential organ and tissue donation for transplantation. Our objectives are to:

- Optimise organ and tissue donation opportunities for transplantation
- Provide specialist support for families involved in the donation process
- Increase consent through registration (on the Australian Organ Donor Registry) and family discussion
- Enhance systems to support donation and transplantation.

The NSW OTDS is hosted by the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).

The Manager Corporate, Stakeholders and Community Partnerships is responsible for external stakeholder and partnership management and the implementation of key strategic initiatives identified within the NSW Government Plan for increasing organ and tissue donation. The position will assist the General Manager of the NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service to ensure appropriate engagement and partnerships with stakeholders in implementing the key priorities identified within the Plan. The position will be responsible for regular reporting and ministerial briefings.
In addition this position will be responsible for the oversight of the communications and media requirements of the NSW OTDS and implementation of a range of strategic initiatives and projects to increase community awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation. The position will also oversee the administrative staff and office functions within the NSW OTDS.
The position will work as a member of the management team of the NSW OTDS to implement the organisation’s key goals and objectives.
- Manage the development and implementation of proactive strategies to promote awareness around key organ donation messages
- Manage media response and opportunities to promote organ and tissue donation within NSW
- Act as a key contact and support community awareness and education initiatives, DonateLife Week as well as Aboriginal and CALD Engagement Strategies.
- Act as a key spokesperson and advocate for the organ and tissue donation sector in NSW.

Strategic Initiatives and Projects
- Oversee implementation, evaluation and reporting of the key strategic initiatives identified within the NSW Government Plan to Increase Organ and Tissue Donation
- Identify and, in collaboration with the management team, implement new and innovative strategic initiatives to improve the organ donation process and awareness of organ and tissue donation.

Corporate and Administrative Support
- Manage the implementation of effective and efficient office, corporate and communication systems
- Manage the provision of efficient, effective, professional and customer focused administrative support for services and projects of the NSW OTDS
- Manage administrative staff
- Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing._
- All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW._
- Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations._
