Melbourne, Australia Planday Full time

At Planday, our vision is to power the global workforce marketplace by connecting people to relevant and meaningful work, and to help businesses build an engaged, high performing and flexible workforce through our shift-scheduling platform. We’re all about meaningful work for customers, users and employees.
We're growing fast and looking for a new colleague to join our Compliance analyst team as our new Product Analyst for Modern awards. You will be located in our new Melbourne office but work closely with our teams in Copenhagen.

This is a new Product Analyst role specialised in Modern Awards. In this role, you will support our Product Engineering team building a product that enables our customers in Australia to meet their regulatory obligations on awards compliance through an outstanding product experience.

**You can expect to work with the following**:

- Actively monitor the regulatory and industry landscape for emerging regulatory needs relating to Awards interpretation, ensuring the implications of these are understood and fed into strategic and delivery planning
- Perform market and competitor research to assess market standards, competitor activity and compare this to the award compliance level in our product
- Build a strong understanding of market and customer expectations in relation to Modern Awards and support the Product team to quickly dissect competitor movements and assess the most appropriate response
- Assist our Product Managers to identify opportunities in existing and future Planday functionalities. Ensure that the direct and indirect compliance implications of product changes are considered in the design of solutions
- Support our QA-function, compliance testing team and development teams in defining and documenting Award compliance requirements (user stories and acceptance criteria)
- Provide ongoing assessment and testing of our product to ensure that our product remains compliant with relevant rules and legislation corresponding to Modern awards

**Requirements**:
If you see yourself in some of the points below, great - we’re excited to learn more about you
- Experience as a payroll analyst or Awards specialist in Australia
- Solid working knowledge and demonstrated expertise of the Modern Awards space, Australian payroll industry and related legislation from Fairwork Australia and ATO
- An eye for detail and superb analytical & research skills. You take a methodical approach to your work.
- Understand complex legal information and are able to transform this into product requirements
- Thrive on managing your own time and approach to work, with a ruthless prioritisation of time and projects, a strong results & delivery attitude and equally happy with independent vs team based work
- A strong communicator and confident and accurate in your decision-making when working on significant and specialist issues
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal information into clear and simple requirements and recommendations for various audiences
- Growth mindset and thirst for learning

**Benefits**:
**At Planday, we offer you**:

- Benefits like pension, health insurance, inclusive support for new parents and generous vacation
- Growth and progression opportunities - we want you to grow with us
- Flexible remote work
- Strong social culture with lots of team and company activities
- Meaningful work - everyone at Planday contributes to improving the lives of shift workers around the globe
- Healthy work-life balance and autonomous approach to work. We trust in you and your abilities
- The opportunity to join Planday in an exciting time of growth and development

Finally, our offices are not just workplaces (although they are pretty nice and well-located, we have to say). Plandayers are open and welcoming and at Planday, everyone has the freedom and support to show their true self at work.
