**About the role**
As Leading Hand (Parks and Sports - Sports Maintenance), you will be part of the Field Services Team, and will be responsible for clay tennis court maintenance, together with sports field turf and garden maintenance.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Maintenance activities within Council’s sports grounds to meet Council’s standards, and provide direction to staff and contractors
- Establish and maintain gardens and sports turf areas in various sporting venues
- Identify and treat diseases in turf and garden plants, and weeds
- Undertake the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Q Fever vaccination
- Level 3 certificate in Horticulture or related experience
- Current MR class Drivers Licence would be an advantage
- Current Qld ACDC licence or equivalent would be an advantage
- Statements of Attainment or evidence of proficiency (equivalent knowledge and experience) for the competencies outlined in the Position Description

This is a full time position, with an attractive salary package commencing at $64,498 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
