CNC Laser Operator

Carasel Towbars is a family owned and operated company, based in Seven Hills NSW. We are focused on providing our customers with on time, quality laser cutting and bending solutions. We utilise the latest laser cutting and bending technologies, partnered with machine automation to reduce lead times and support our manufacturing. Our workshop has recently undergone a full refurbishment, with the latest Amada laser and press equipment installed. We are seeking a full time Laser & Press Brake Operator to assist with the day to day operation of equipment to process work orders, quality control, machine maintenance, general housekeeping, stock monitoring, and other production tasks as required. Reporting alongside the Engineering and Management team, you will work closely with management to further develop our production workflow, ensuring a strong focus on safety, productivity, and client satisfaction. This role is for an immediate start, with machine specific training to be provided for the successful applicant as required. **Essential Skills, Experience, and Attributes**: - Minimum 2 year CNC laser machine and press brake experience - Have the ability to prioritise tasks, meet job targets and schedules - Experience in a manufacturing environment with an ability to interpret technical drawings is a must - Understand bend allowance / deduction formulas. - Offline 3d programming experience would be an advantage but is not essential. - Advanced problem-solving skills - Forklift license or willing to get this - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and be a team player - Willing to work overtime when required including Saturdays if required - Must have the rights to work in Australia i.e. correct visa **Duties will include**: - Programming and setting of laser machine and press brakes. - Operation of laser and press brakes. - "Operator level" maintenance of press brakes. - Fabricating components/assemblies to the relevant production drawing. - Use of forklift to load and unload jobs to the relevant machine. - QC inspection of components. - Salary will be determined by the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
