CNC Operator

At HMPS Propac, we are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our Workshop team at our Seven Hills, Sydney location. As a CNC Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process within the Propac brand, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality products. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements
- Monitor the performance of machinery to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of production
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns effectively
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

**Skills and Experience**:

- Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist with Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent ideal
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment with strong manual machining skills
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various workshop machinery and tools
- Willingness to engage in manual mill and lathe activities in CNC machine operating and down time
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of different materials and their machining requirements
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in a workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Adherence to health and safety regulations in a workshop setting

**Desirable skills - training will be provided**:

- Experience as a CNC Operator (Lathes specifically) or similar role beneficial
- Basic understanding or exposure to CNC programming (G-code/IGF-Interactive Graphic Function)
- Experience with specific control systems (Okuma)
