**About the role**

in this role, the marketing coordinator is to Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities as well as implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast and online content promoting the company.

**Marketing Coordinator Job Responsibilities and Duties**
- Gather market trends, account analyses, sales data and forecasts to present to the sales staff
- Work with the graphics department in order to prepare promotional materials
- Review expense, sales and additional business data in order to efficiently analyze product line sales
- Monitor company budgets, prepare forecasts and offer recommendations on ways to save on promotional campaigns
- Research products being offered by the competition to see how well they do and if there is anything we can learn from their campaigns
- Manage mailing lists
- Attend trade shows regularly in order to represent the company to potential clients

**Marketing Coordinator Skills and Qualifications**
- Degree in Marketing or Communications. Most marketing coordinator roles require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
- Knowledge of Marketing Techniques. It’s vital for a marketing coordinator to have an understanding of various marketing approaches and outreach techniques.
- Strong Communication Skills. A marketing coordinator must be articulate in both written and verbal communication exchanges.
- Good Interpersonal Skills. Marketing coordinators often serve as representatives of a business in the public, participating in trade shows, product demonstrations, product launches and media events.
- Project Management Experience. Marketing coordinators juggle a number of time-sensitive projects simultaneously, so good time management skills paired with knowledge or experience in project management can be very helpful.
