**The Role**
The APS4 Information and Records Management Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex information and records management work within an integrated workforce. You will be accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements, share information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. You will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by your knowledge of the information function. You may undertake some research and analysis activities.

The duties of an APS4 Information and Records Management Officer occupation in Defence include the following (note
- not all duties are required to be performed during a 12 month performance cycle):

- Perform information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislative and Defence policies and procedures;
- Maintain security classified information material in accordance with Defence requirements;
- Understand and implement information and records management policies and procedures to physical and electronic records;
- Assist with project support tasks including the administration and coordination of project documentation;
- Liaise with project stakeholders, both internally and externally;
- Research governance requirements and maintain currency and integrity of information and record management systems;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders;
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member;
- Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks;
- Seek advice and guidance on more complex issues.

**About our Team**
The Collins Submarine Program within CASG is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
