Learning & Development Coordinator

**Description**:
We currently have an opportunity for a Learning & Development professional to join our team at Eastern Creek, to continue delivering our focus on quality, safety and exceeding our customers' expectations.

As a member of the newly formed national Learning & Development (L&D) team you will work closely with the Site Management and People & Culture teams to deliver the national L&D strategy on a local level. As we develop and evolve the strategy into the digital space, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of our people, now and into the future.

As the newest member of our growing L&D team, your primary responsibility will be to provide and promote training and coaching that ensures all employees are inducted and trained to the highest level of expertise and behavioural competency; allowing them to perform their roles safely and to exemplary quality standards.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Facilitate new employee On-boarding and National Induction Program for new hires across the business and provide a high level of support to new employees following induction for a minimum of three months
- Conduct ongoing training that ensures our employees have the required skills and behaviours to do their jobs to the required standard
- Coordinate and document relevant Work Instruction (WI) competency training for new and existing staff
- Assess competency outcomes of staff participating in training
- Undertake training using varying techniques (side by side, classroom, small group sessions) and varying activities to accommodate learning styles
- Maintain training register and ensure all training documentation is up to date and clearly demonstrates employee completion of modules, dates and competency levels and monitor feedback and effectiveness of training
- Review WIs and SOPs in line with site operations
- In consultation with management create an training plan that ensures required training is scheduled and delivered, being mindful of operational requirements
- Provide reports on a monthly basis outlining delivered and planned training activities
- Support buddy trainers and monitor buddy training procedures and practices

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Experience in coaching and training delivery
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or other appropriate qualifications
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to influence the team to achieve high engagement and drive business results
- Be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for learning, development and continuous improvement
- Solid proficiency with MS Office and desktop computer programs
- Ability to quickly become proficient regarding Lite n' Easy operations, products, services, systems, processes and procedures
- Effective time management skills, and ability to prioritise tasks and activities based on importance
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills able to build and maintain highly positive, productive and professional working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Results focused and committed to achieving positive outcomes
