**Energy Solutions**
The Energy Solutions team is in the privileged position to play a meaningful role in what is the biggest challenge of our generation - climate change. We will achieve this by rapidly leveraging our privileged assets, brands, customer bases and expertise across geographies to accelerate the rollout of our alternative energy market offerings. **About the role**:
Energy Solutions develops services to transition with our customers and EV charging is a central pillar to the Energy Solutions strategy. The EV Technology Lead is responsible for implementing the innovative technology solutions required for Ampol to lead the market on eMobility services. This includes: market scanning for leading technology solutions; Collaborating on solution designs to incorporate class-leading charging technologies; Managing technology vendors to defined metrics and outcomes; supporting delivery of technology solutions.
To be successful in the Energy Solutions team you will demonstrate deep technological expertise in delivery of EV charging solutions as well as a collaborative mindset to solve emerging challenges. You will be able to thrive when faced with ambiguity and aspire to greater challenges within your role.
**Key Deliverables**:
- Accountable for supporting and implementing the eMobility technology strategy focused on services for customer experience and reliable connectivity.
- Collaborate with the Energy Solutions Customer Solutions and Product Team to define and design market leading eMobility technology solutions.
- Maintain EV charging solutions across:
- Charge Point Management Systems
- Connectivity
- Customer interface solutions (Native/web apps, RFID credit card etc)
- Achieve best in class customer performance including charger uptime and CX.
- Manage technology vendors to defined performance criteria
- Retain and build external industry relationships to drive high quality industry partnership
- Develop and implement commissioning and test procedures for new EV charging products and services.
- Participate in industry, government and standards consultations to drive the maturity of eMobility technologies in Australia and New Zealand.
- Participate in project delivery as the key EV charging technology team representatives driving end-to-end product testing as part of commissioning.
- Develop and maintain process and documentation for EV charging technology operations, driving reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with the Energy Value Chain (Technical SMEs, Asset Operations and Asset Deployment) teams to implement technology operations processes and procedures that are best in class.
- Collaborate with the Analytics and Insights team to maintain reporting and dashboards on eMobility systems and services being delivered for customers.
- Maintain SME knowledge of emerging eMobility technologies likely to drive future business strategy including Plug & Charge, V2X (Bidirectional power), Wireless charging, connected and autonomous vehicles.
- Lead technical due diligence on relevant investment opportunities as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering connectivity, software & platform solutions for EV Charging solutions
- Experience delivering operational processes for EV chargers
- Experienced in operating high reliability charging solutions
- Experience utilizing technical expertise to create and deliver technology strategies which solve complex and novel problems in the EV industry
- Expertise in CCS Protocols (ISO15118-20) and CHAdeMO (3.0) protocols
- Expertise in industry specific protocols such as Open Charge Point Protocol, Open Charge Point Interface and Open Smart Charging
