**The opportunity**:
Under the general supervision of the Senior Commercial & Procurement Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the GS APAC Commercial Function. Appointed initially to the Maritime Line of Business, the Commercial and Procurement Manager will provide oversight of all commercial aspects of the affiliated contracts. Specifically, they will participate in the fulfilment of all contract requirements and interface with internal business functions to ensure and assure contract compliance.

Under general direction of the Senior Commercial and Procurement Manager they will use their specialised knowledge and skills to solve complex and unique problems by evaluating and managing project commercial risks, ensuring the project's finance, insurance, controls, estimating, compliance and procurement activities are in line with KBR’s internal policy.

**This position is a permanent full-time opportunity, based in Sydney.**

**Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

- Manage contractual, procurement, and financial activities for Integrated Work Package (IWP) contracts.
- Plan, organise, and develop all commercial documentation required for projects
- Manage conflict of interest between business stakeholders
- Assist with planning, due diligence, and engagement of Subcontracts for Technical Support Network (TSN) companies.
- Manage commercial risk, opportunities, and issues across allocated areas of work
- Establish business relationships with Commonwealth commercial representatives.
- Current AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal or Finance
- Experience in Defence and Government commercial management or procurement.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation and support
- Well-developed communication skills
- Experienced user of MS Office products
