**Clinical Informatics Officer - Outpatients**

**Ongoing full time position (38.00 hours per week plus ADO)**

The Informatics Department provides a comprehensive support service to The Clincal Informatics Officer (Outpatients) role sits within the Informatics Department which has 4 key portfolios:

- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Health Information Services
- Archives.

The EMR is used by more than 18,000 clinicians and staff across the four health services and is delivered in partnership with Epic, a global leader in health information technology.

**Your contribution**

The Clinical Informatics Officer will work collaboratively with RWH EMR team and Parkville EMR team to deliver end user training and support the delivery of the Women's EMR enhancement and optimisation plan. This roles portfolio will focus on supporting outpatients areas.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Provide support & system configuration for approved outpatient enhancements that align with the continuous improvement of the EMR
- Deliver EMR communications and education to support the introduction of new build changes and EMR upgrades and other ongoing training needs.
- Perform analysis of workflows, enhancement requests and other technical issues associated with the EMR and work with key stakeholder to develop functional and technical solutions that reflect an in-depth understanding of the user’s requirements.

**About you**

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- A sound understanding of EMR functionality to support clinical workflow
- Advanced skills in workflow review and design and proven ability to deliver solutions that meet the needs of end users
- Epic Application Certification and/or equivalent experience (highly desirable)
