The Solution Analyst will work closely with the Principal Designer and EMR Enhancement Lead to support the ongoing optimisation and enhancement of the Monash Health Electronic Medical Record to ensure the EMR remains reliable, stable, and available for operational use.

**About the EMR & Informatics Program**

The EMR & Informatics Program brings together three distinct areas of work:

- The EMR BAU Program (business as usual) activities support Monash Health’s clinicians and front-line staff to work effectively in the EMR every day. This ensures the EMR remains clinically safe and aligned to PROMPT guidelines e.g. Updates to medications, patient care alerts, orders within order sets, iView fields, bed/service expansions. It also includes major EMR code upgrades.
- The EMR Enhancement Program which are defined improvements to the EMR of moderate or high complexity, that require resourcing additional to BAU and project methodology to complete as well as seeking to constantly enhance the EMR with optimisations, updates and enhancements.
- Non-EMR Informatics Projects this includes for example, the implementation of MS Teams/Baret for Clinical Communications and Vocera for ICU Communications.

The EMR & Informatics Program undertakes various initiatives, constantly seeking to enhance and improve patient outcomes through digital health.

**About The Role**

The Solution Analyst will contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of the EMR and deliver high quality, accurate analysis and solutions to ensure the EMR is constantly undergoing development to reach its full potential at Monash Health.

**What You Need**:
Mandatory:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in a computing or heath related field
- Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA) or equivalent certification
- Experience and advanced skills in SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XML
- Experience in programming and report writing using Cerner Command Language (CCL), PowerInsight Explorer, Discern Analytics (DA2) and mPages
- Broad knowledge of health service and health system operational requirements and of clinical and administrative information systems
- Australian working rights

Desirable:

- Experience working in a tertiary and/or paediatric hospital environment and a deep understanding of clinical workflows in emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
